GOT DAMNIT, I love me some LisaRaye baby!!!! She is so extra real and I LOVES IT!! I have to admit that the first episode of her reality show didn't really do it for me, but after that second show... I was hooked! I love her show and I make sure to catch it every Thursday on TVOne. You should too.

SideNote: Uhh LisaRaye, the only thing that I didn't particularly like about this interview was that "who else can say they were the first lady of a country" thing. Please don't forget about my auntie (in my head), Mrs. Michelle Obama!!! Preciate it ;). You gotta give it to Ms. McCoy tho, she was one BAD AZZ FIRST LADY!!

Sandra Bullock Pulls A Real Life Blind Side --- Adopts A Baby Boy From New Orleans

I knew I loved Sandra Bullock!!! Through all the bull she's been going through this year, she has so many things to celebrate. She won her first Oscar and she's now showing the world the beautiful chocolate baby she adopted a couple of months ago. Louis Bardo Bullock is 3 and a half months old, was born in New Orleans and has been with his new family since January. He is TOOOOOOOOOOOOO dang cute!! I love it!! Sandra spoke proudly of her baby boy stating "he's just perfect, I can't even describe him any other way." Awwwwwww, congrats Sandra, I'm sure she'll be a GREAT mommy! Personally, I'm glad she didn't go out of the country like most celebs. We have lots of babies right here in the U.S. that need our help too.

**UPDATED** Blaque's Natina Reed Arrested For Prostitution & Cocaine Possession

I'm sure y'all remember Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez's girl group "Blaque", their biggest hit was "808". Bossip is reporting that the groups rapper, Natina Reed was arrested in Georgia for prostitution, cocaine possession and disorderly conduct.

This is soooooooooooo sad, she was such a pretty girl. I always wonder what happens to these young ladies for them to end up in these situations. I'm not shocked at the drug and disorderly conduct charges cuz she was always a bit extra. But prostitution tho, WOW! Natina has a son with rapper and ex-fiance, Kurupt. This mugshot is the pits....that hair, that mustache, that look. I hope she prays her way out of that, SMH.

Other sources are saying that the story was altered by bloggers in efforts to make the story more "juicy" than it really is. As you see in my original post, I stated that the disorderly conduct and possession didn't shock me, but the prostitution did. Well, supposedly Natina wasn't arrested for prostitution. Although I hate for blogs to make up ish and I hate reporting incorrect info, I really hope that the prostitution ish was bogus. I'll keep you posted.

Tiny and her honey Tip are in LA and they decided to celebrate Tip's homecoming with friends at Guys and Dolls.

There were several celebs at the party, including Jamie Foxx, Lil Kim and more. Jamie and Tip hit the stage to perform their new single "Winner" and you already know the night wouldn't have been complete without Tip performing "I'm Back" (love that song).



Diddy was strolling around Hollywood with his new artist, Nicki Minaj (he's her new manager). I'm liking Nicki's reserved look. All of that green hair is okay for performances but on a regular day I'm gonna need her to let it go.

Lots of them made very good points, but honestly.. that potential thing kinda ticked me off. Let me explain why. Although I have no problem with interracial, I DO have a problem with a black man being with a black woman while he has that "potential" but as soon as he gets on he's looking at other races of women. Oooh, that burns me up. Truth is that in some situations, potential just aint enough. Anywho, your thoughts on the video.

R.I.P. Dorothy Height, Benjamin Hooks and Guru

Dorothy Height (1912-2010)

Ms. Dorothy Height passed away this morning at the age of 98. Height was president of the National Council of Negro Women for over 40 years. She joined the civil rights movement as a teenager... she was the only woman on the speakers platform when Dr. King delivered his "I Have A Dream" speech at the Lincoln Memorial. Ms. Height received the Presidental Medal of Freedom from Bill Clinton in 1994. In 2004, she recieved the Congressional Gold Medal. It's always sad to lose someone, but I have to admit that when I read that she was 98 it made me smile. From the looks of it, Ms. Height's life was definitely not in vain and to be here for 98 years is a blessing in itself. RIP Ms. Height.

Benjamin Hooks (1925-2010)

Memphis' own, Benjamin Hooks passed away last week at the age of 85. Hooks was a lawyer and Baptist minister that was extremly active in the civil rights movement. At one point, he was the leader of the NAACP. Among his many achievement, the one that I cant go without mentioning is the fact that Mr. Hooks was the very FIRST black judge to sit on the bench of a Tennesse state court since Reconstruction. RIP Mr. Hooks

Keith "Guru" Elam (1966-2010)

Hip Hop rap legend Guru died yesterday after a year long battle with cancer. Reports are that Guru suffered cardiac arrest back in March and has been in a coma. I'm not really familiar with Guru so of course I had to look him up. He was part of the rap duo "Gang Starr", they released a total of 6 albums in their career. Although I didnt know much about Guru, this news was upsetting for me because he was only 43 years old. We never know how long we have here on this earth so take every moment as a blessing. RIP Guru.

I, Guru, am writing this letter to my fans, friends and loved ones around the world. I have had a long battle with cancer and have succumbed to the disease. I have suffered with this illness for over a year. I have exhausted all medical options.

I have a non-profit organization called Each One Counts dedicated to carrying on my charitable work on behalf of abused and disadvantaged children from around the world and also to educate and research a cure for this terrible disease that took my life. I write this with tears in my eyes, not of sorrow but of joy for what a wonderful life I have enjoyed and how many great people I have had the pleasure of meeting.
My loyal best friend, partner and brother, Solar, has been at my side through it all and has been made my health proxy by myself on all matters relating to myself. He has been with me by my side on my many hospital stays, operations, doctors visits and stayed with me at my home and cared for me when I could not care for myself. Solar and his family is my family and I love them dearly and I expect my family, friends, and fans to respect that, regardless to anybody's feelings on the matter. It is my wish that counts. This being said I am survived by the love of my life, my sun KC, who I trust will be looked after by Solar and his family as their own. Any awards or tributes should be accepted, organized approved by Solar on behalf myself and my son until he is of age to except on his own.

I do not wish my ex-DJ to have anything to do with my name likeness, events tributes etc. connected in anyway to my situation including any use of my name or circumstance for any reason and I have instructed my lawyers to enforce this. I had nothing to do with him in life for over 7 years and want nothing to do with him in death. Solar has my life story and is well informed on my family situation, as well as the real reason for separating from my ex-DJ. As the sole founder of GangStarr, I am very proud of what GangStarr has meant to the music world and fans. I equally am proud of my Jazzmatazz series and as the father of Hip-Hop/Jazz. I am most proud of my leadership and pioneering efforts on Jazzmatazz 4 for reinvigorating the Hip-Hop/Jazz genre in a time when music quality has reached an all time low. Solar and I have toured in places that I have never been before with GangStarr or Jazzmatatazz and we gained a reputation for being the best on the planet at Hip-Hop/Jazz, as well as the biggest and most influential Hip-Hop/Jazz record with Jazzmatazz 4 of the decade to now. The work I have done with Solar represents a legacy far beyond its time. And we as a team were not afraid to push the envelope. To me this is what true artists do! As men of honor we stood tall in the face of small mindedness, greed, and ignorance. As we fought for music and integrity at the cost of not earning millions and for this I will always be happy and proud, and would like to thank the million fans who have seen us perform over the years from all over the world. The work I have done with Solar represents a legacy far beyond its time and is my most creative and experimental to date.
