Nene Leakes Is A Grandma!

Awwwww, ATL Housewife (and actress), Nene Leakes is a new Grandmother.  In June, her 22 year old son Bryson had a daughter, Bri'Asia.

I only found out about everything because I ran into Ashley when she was more than six months along. I said, ‘You look pregnant.’ and she said, ‘Hasn’t Bryson told you?’ But he hadn’t because he knew that I wouldn’t approve of him having a child so young. I didn’t feel like he was ready for such a big responsibility. I was his age when I had him, so I know how tough it is. I didn’t want him to make the same mistakes that I did. I needed to let it sink in. I always wanted to have a girl and now I have one! She’s just adorable.  We just love her!

Nene says that at 44, she's a sassy fashion-forward Grandma and she's gone crazy buying things for little Bri'Asia. "I paid for everything in the nursery… the clothing, the diapers,little dresses, sparkly headbands, and Gucci shoes."  She is a cutie pie, I'm sure Nene is going to spoil her rotten.

One of my favorite parts was when she said she is "afraid of the pedestal."  I can appreciate that because I've heard people speak badly of her because of her actions.  Truth is, she isn't doing too much more than most 24 year olds.  She is just forced to live her 24 year old life for the world to see. 
BTW, Gran Gran Dolly had some grand advice!! "They'll only meet you halfway if they love you a little more."  Hmph, what she said!!

Chad Johnson/Evelyn Lozada 911 Call

The 911 call placed by a neighbor of Chad Johnson and Evelyn Lozada has been released, I figured it wouldn't be too long.  As previously report, Evelyn fled to a neighbor's home after the altercation and called the police.  During the call, the neighbor mentioned that it might have been "just a misunderstanding" and asked them not to send the police with "their lights flashing."  I SERIOUSLY hate that all of this is happening to them. I had honestly started to like them as a couple and then this.

In other news, Evelyn's brother-in-law,  Anthony Ochoa passed away after a long battle with cancer.  We saw her mention having him walk her down the aisle on the last season of Basketball Wives.  Amazingly, he held on just long enough to make that walk with her, he was only 43 years old.  This couldn't have come at a worse time.  To lose someone so close to you and not have your brand new husband there to help you get through it, SMH.  She has to be really going through a roller coaster of emotions right now.  I know Evelyn can be a hand full sometimes, but keep her and their family in your prayers.

Vh1 Cancels "Ev And Ocho" Reality Show

Wowwwwwwwwww... While some people were thinking this Chad and Evelyn domestic dispute thing was a publicity stunt to hype up their upcoming reality show, Vh1 has shut those rumors down.  The network has decided NOT to air Ev and Ocho in September as planned.  So, we won't get to see that wedding that she's been planning for the last 2 seasons or so of BBW.

Due to the unfortunate events over the weekend and the seriousness of the allegations, VH1 is pulling the series ‘Ev and Ocho’ from its schedule and has no current plans of airing it.

SMD, they are losing jobs, shows, fans and money left and right behind this madness.

K.Michelle's "Stop Violence Against Women" Campaign PSA Video

Okay... domestic abuse is not funny, but THIS fool here just made me laugh.  I mean one of those burst out hollin' laughs LMAO!! I couldn't help but wonder if this is the kind of beating she is accusing Memphitz of.

I'm sorry, but she ruined the freaking video and the message for me.  Simply because I know she is a liar and she's using something as serious as domestic abuse to gain fame. I'm not saying she has never been abused, but when I see that you will lie on one individual about something this serious, I can't really trust too many of your other claims.

Chad Johnson (Ochocinco) Arrested For Domestic Abuse Against Evelyn Lozada

You know what.. this is just way too much, way too soon!! These two were JUST married on July 4th and they are already laying hands on one another, SMDH. Saturday night Chad Johnson was arrested for assaulting his new bride Evelyn Lozada. Reports are that while riding in the car Evelyn found a receipt for condoms and that of course led to an altercation (there are conflicting reports on rather Chad or Evelyn bought the condoms). Chad supposedly head-butted Evelyn during the argument and she fled to a neighbors house to call the police.  When the police arrived they saw a 3 inch laceration on her forehead and transported her to the hospital.  She was released later that night.

Chad was taken into custody and advised police that Evelyn was the one that head-butted him.  He was released on bail the next morning.  Because of the incident, he was also released from the Miami Dolphin football team.

I won't say much about this right now since neither of them have spoken on it.  However, I feel terrible for them, especially Evelyn.  I know this is super embarrassing for her.  I was really hoping the best for their relationship.  I wonder what this will mean for their reality show "Ev and Ocho" due to air in September.  I'll keep you all updated on any new details that become available.

Exactly... all this talk, with NOTHING to back it up.  It really works my nerves that people are so quick to believe something just because it was said on television. I've said it a million times before, he didn't beat that nut girl.  I saw her shortly after and there wasn't a single bruise on her body SMH.  Oh well, if K gets hit with a gag order, it'll serve her just right.


Oh, and I heard about that tape... AND I heard her spazz out myself, it's not a pretty sight SMH.

Love & Hip Hop Atlanta The 3Way Therapy Session Video... Joseline Lays Hands On Stevie J.

I didn't get to see last night's episode of LHHA, but I saw talk of Joseline going HAM on Stevie J. all over the social networks.  In last weeks episode we saw Stevie J. convince Mimi to let Joseline join them in a counseling session.  Welp, I didn't think it would work out well, but I didn't think this is how it would have gone down.

Steve Harvey Breaks Down During Last Stand Up Comedy Show

Steve Harvey is retiring from stand up comedy after 27 years in the business.  I read "Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man" and in it, he speaks on his struggles while becoming the success he is today.  From his words in the book and his amazing stage presence, it is clear that he LOVES the world of comedy. Check out his Thank You to his fans during his final stand up show below.





I'm sorry, but in addition to feeling his love, I also laughed LOL. That lip got extra long while he was crying KMSL. Seriously tho, I'm not clowning, I can totally understand the tears. Leaving something that you so obviously love after 27 years has to be a bitter sweet moment.

If you never got to see him do his stand up act, you most def missed out.  I still remember how wonderful he was when he came to Memphis with the "Kings of Comedy" tour.  HILARIOUS!!! Don't worry tho, you can still get your dose of Steve on "Family Feud", his nationally syndicated radio show " The Steve Harvey Morning Show" and his upcoming TV show "Steve Harvey."

New Music From Aaliyah Ft. Drake "Enough Said"

As everybody should know by now, Drake absolutely LOVES the late songstress Aaliyah.  He says he's always been her number one fan and even got 2 tattoos in her memory.  Drake has said that he wants to do an entire project including Aaliyah, but for now he's released this one song "Enough Said."  It's unreleased music from Aaliyah and he jumped on the track with her.  Check it out below.

It's amazing to me how people can literally live through their music even after they're gone... This song is actually kinda hot.  I love that I get to hear Aaliyah's voice in something new.  I'm anxious to hear what an entire Aaliyah-Drake project would sound like.  Anywho, what do you think about it?

Serena Williams "C-Walks" After Winning The Gold

Congrats, I LOVE IT!!! It would take Serena to C Walk all the way in London LOL. When asked about the dance, she made sure to steer clear of mentioning the name of it.  She said the name was "inappropriate" and kept it short and simple saying "it's a dance we do in California."

Venus was super tickled at that move... the two probably joked about it prior to the match.  When receiving my Masters Degree, I told my sister I was going to "dougie" across the stage.  Of course I didn't do it, but hey... that's nothing compared to winning an Olympic Gold Medal.

Gabrielle Douglas & The Fab 5 Win GOLD At The 2012 Olympics... So WHY Are Y'all Talking About HAIR?

Sixteen year old Gabrielle Douglas and her Fab Five team were a joy to watch at the 2012 London Olympics.  Gabby is the very first African American to win an Olympic All Around title.  To put it short and simple, the girl is nothing short of amazing at what she does.  In the midst of all the excitement, instead of focusing on this young lady's story and her commitment to something she loves....people are focusing on something as simple as her HAIR!! Seriously, her HAIR?

I'm not going to type a long post about how ignorant that is because honestly, I don't care to give it that much attention.  However, I will say that it's super sad that after all this young lady has done, her hair is what people choose to focus on. I totally get it though, some people HAVE to find something to gripe about, especially when they have nothing going on for themselves.  I'm positive that Gabby wasn't worried about sitting in a salon chair for hours to look gorgeous for the world.  Instead she was perfecting that balance beam routine and those absolutely brilliant lands. Find something else to talk about people cuz this convo is beyond shameful. SMDH
