New Music From Aaliyah Ft. Drake "Enough Said"

As everybody should know by now, Drake absolutely LOVES the late songstress Aaliyah.  He says he's always been her number one fan and even got 2 tattoos in her memory.  Drake has said that he wants to do an entire project including Aaliyah, but for now he's released this one song "Enough Said."  It's unreleased music from Aaliyah and he jumped on the track with her.  Check it out below.

It's amazing to me how people can literally live through their music even after they're gone... This song is actually kinda hot.  I love that I get to hear Aaliyah's voice in something new.  I'm anxious to hear what an entire Aaliyah-Drake project would sound like.  Anywho, what do you think about it?

10 Years Later... Remembering Aaliyah!

It doesn't seem real that today makes 10 years that R&B artist Aaliyah has been gone.  She was such a beautiful and talented young woman.  Aaliyah was only 22 years old at the time of her death and her career was really starting to take off.  She was headed back to the U.S. from the Bahamas where she shot her last music video when her plane crashed killing her and 7 others.  Check out these moments from the video shoot for "Rock The Boat".  For me, watching this made me smile and cringe all at the same time.  I smiled because she looked so happy, she was doing something she loved and surrounded by people that she cared about.  I cringed because it makes me realize (even more) that you can be here today and gone tomorrow.  Hell, here now and gone in the next minute.  I couldnt add the videos, so I just posted the links.  Check em' out.

RIP Aaliyah...

Today marks the 9th anniversary of the death of the beautiful and talented, Aaliyah.  Yesterday, for some reason I was online for about an hour looking up videos of Latin artist Selena who was killed back in 1995 at the age of 23.  While watching interviews and reading things on her, I started to think of Aaliyah.  Both of these young ladies were successful but their lives were cut short just when they were about to really hit it BIG!  We still get to hear her music and watch her music videos (that was another dancing lil lady), but we rarely get to see any of her interviews anymore.  Last year on the anniversary of her death I posted some of my favorite music videos from her, this year I wanted to post more interview videos.  She seemed to be a really sweet chick.  This first video is her visiting 106&Park, this was her very last interview.

Hearing her talk about heading out to film the "Rock the Boat" video gave me chills.

The Dream Remakes Aaliyah's "One In A Million"

In our high school yearbook there was a section where each senior had the opportunity to give a little info about themselves. You know like what you would most likely be doing later in life (mine was a talk show host LOL), what you loved most and your favorite song. My favorite song was (and still is) "One In A Million" by Aaliyah. When I heard that The Dream did a remake of the hit song, I have to admit that I had mixed emotions. Since this is my favorite song and one of Aaliyah's BIGGEST hits, I was concerned that he might not do it justice. Well, I have to say that I was not disappointed. Listen to the song below.



It doesnt take the place of the original but he did it well.. Only this dude could pull this one off. What do you guys think of the remake?
