George Zimmerman To Be Charged?

According to Rolling Out The Washington Post has confirmed that George Zimmerman will finally be charged in the shooting death of 17 year old Trayvon Martin. 

The Washington Post has confirmed that the 28-year-old will be brought up on charges as early as Wednesday afternoon.

Angela Corey, the special prosecutor assigned to the case, previously confirmed that she’d hold a press conference within 72 hours announcing her decision.

It is not immediately clear what charges Zimmerman might face.

Corey’s conference will take place in either Sanford, Florida where Trayvon died, or Jacksonville, Florida.

It's been more than a month since Trayvon was killed.  It's completely absurd that Zimmerman has been free all this time, SMDH.  Of course I'll keep you updated!!

George Zimmerman At The Police Station After Killing Trayvon Smith, No Bruises Or Blood Is Seen

This is a key video for the Martin family.  While George Zimmerman claims he killed Trayvon Martin in SELF DEFENSE, this video shows him with no bruises or blood on his body.  This video was taken at the police station where Zimmerman was taken after the murder, but released that same night.  I'm waiting to hear how they'll explain this.

Trayvon Martin 911 Calls Released

The more I hear about the Trayvon Martin case, the more it saddens me.  If you haven't heard about it, brace yourself and read below.

On the evening of February 26, Trayvon Martin—an unarmed 17-year-old African American student—was confronted, shot, and killed near his home by George Zimmerman, a Latino neighborhood watch captain in the Orlando, Florida, suburb of Sanford. Zimmerman has not been charged with a crime. Since Martin's death and the release of more details, the case has garnered national media attention and sparked a host of public debates over racial tensions, vigilantism, police practices, and gun laws.

Martin, a Miami native, was visiting his father in Sanford and watching the NBA All-Star game at a house in a gated Sanford community, the Retreat at Twin Lakes. At halftime, Martin walked out to the nearby 7-Eleven to get some Skittles and Arizona Iced Tea. On his return trip, he drew the attention of Zimmerman, who was patrolling the neighborhood in a sport-utility vehicle and called 911 to report "a real suspicious guy."

There have now been several 911 calls from neighbors and witnesses released to the media.  Zimmerman's call has also been released.

There is absolutely NO REASON that Zimmerman should be walking around a free man.  It's scary to me that even in 2012, the life of a black male seems to be so insignificant.  The family is now trying to work with the FBI in hopes that further action will be taken against Zimmerman.  I'll keep you updated with this case, please keep the family in your prayers.
