New Remix Music From Chris Brown & Rihanna "Turn Up The Music" And "Birthday Cake"

So it looks like everybody Chris and Rihanna are over the beat down incident and it's now back to the music.  The two hopped on each others tracks for some steamy remixes.  Check out the "Turn Up The Music" and "Birthday Cake" remixes.

I wish people would stop worrying about other folks business and let these young people do what they want.  Nobody is getting hurt (this go round), so just leave them be.  Both songs were hot, especially that "Birthday Cake", LOVE it!!

Whitney Houston Home Going Obituary... Full Program

On Saturday, February 11th the family of the legendary Whitney E. Houston held a private Home Going Celebration for their beloved "Nippy."  While it was not open to the public, the family did however allow one camera in the building.  That one camera was more than enough to show the world what a real celebration of life looks like. Ms. Cissy Houston put her baby to rest BEAUTIFULLY!! I was so glad that she took Whitney home and held the services in her original church.  I think Whitney would have wanted it done just as it was.

The service was beautiful and so was the program.  Check MORE DISH for the full program.

Aretha Franklin Speaks On Whitney Houston's Passing

Whitney's "Aunt Ree", Aretha Franklin spoke to TODAY about Whitney's death.  Take a look at the interview below.

Since Whitney's death, I've watched several of her interviews and performances.  It really hurt me to look at some of the recent videos, and it's no secret that "the voice" wasn't what it used to be.  While speaking to TODAY, Aretha stated that she knew it hurt Whitney that she couldn't sing what (how) she wanted to and was used to.  I know it had to have hurt her, because like I said... it hurt my feelings just watching it.  There have been people making horrible comments about this legendary woman and it honestly ticks me off. One of the last songs she was heard singing was "Yes Jesus Loves Me", and it was obvious that she loved him too.  So, who are we to judge?  I've seen several posts about all the greats being in heaven ready to greet Whitney at the gate.  If that's the case,  I know they are all up there JAMMING.. and Whitney not only has "the voice" back, but she's hitting notes she didn't even know she could.

Kobe & Vanessa Bryant Share A Valentine's Day Kiss

Looks like Vanessa Bryant is making out good court side AND in the court room.  Even after filing for divorce, taking Kobe for 75 mill and 3 mansions, the two still look pretty close to me.  Yesterday the two shared a Valentine's Day kiss on the way to the locker rooms after a Lakers game.  The divorce isn't yet final, but by the looks of things, there might be a reconciliation in the works.  We all know how the song goes, "it's cheaper to keep her" :).

Whitney Houston's Friend/Alleged Lesbian Lover Writes A Letter About Their Relationship

I've been watching old interviews of Whitney and was reminded of those lesbian rumors surrounding her back in the day.  Before she got with Bobby, Whitney's close friend Robyn Crawford served as her assistant.  Just like they claim Rihanna's assistant is her lesbian lover these days, they made the same claims about Whitney back then.  Robyn has never really spoken about her relationship with Whitney, until now.  Check out an excerpt from her letter below.

She was nothing like the Whitney Houston she became but at the same time she was already there. She knew, and so did everyone around her. She was doing shows in Manhattan with her mother, and she'd change her clothes in the car and get on stage and do her thing. She hadn't signed her contract yet. But she was modeling for Wilhelmina because she was discovered on the street. She was walking in front of Carnegie Hall and someone walked up to her and said, "There's a modeling agency upstairs that's looking for someone just like you." She walked upstairs and they signed her. That's what it was like, that's what she gave off. She looked like an angel. When my mother first met her, she laughed and said, "You look like an angel, but I know you're not." And she wasn't. But she looked like one.

I don't think it was anything going on between them, but if it was, SO WHAT.   Anywho, read the full letter here.

Monica & Brandy Speak On Whitney's Life & Legacy

I never even laid eyes on Whitney Houston in person, but her death has hit me hard.  Both Monica and Brandy have ALWAYS talked about how much they idolized Whitney, so I know this was tough for them to deal with.  I was just talking to my sister yesterday and mentioned that Monica is the closest thing to a Whitney this generation will get. In my Whitney tribute, I posted the "Shoop" video that they discussed.  In it, Whitney spoke on how great of of a singer Monica was.

Just cause I'm slick nosey, I'm curious about what that letter said. If I were Brandy, I wouldn't share it with the world either.

Funeral Arrangements For Whitney Houston

Funeral arrangements for the great Whitney Houston have been made and will be held in her hometown of Newark, New Jersey. Her remains were flown back to Newark on Tyler Perry's private plane.

Her family is planning a wake on Thursday and her funeral will be held on Friday at Newark's Prudential Center. This arena holds around 20,000 and is used for concerts and NBA games.  I'll give more info as it is provided.

UPDATE: The Mayor of Newark stated that the city will NOT have a public memorial for Whitney.  The family will however have a private funeral this Saturday at New Hope Baptist Church.

Wendy Williams Breaks Down When Speaking On Whitney Houston's Passing... Jennifer Hudson's Whitney Tribute At The 54th Grammy Ceremony

Y'all know I love Wendy and this is the reason why. She is always sincere in everything she says and does.

Jennifer Hudson sang Whitney's I Will Always Love You at last nights Grammy Awards.

I know we were all expecting a tribute and I was honestly a little upset about it.  We have to keep in mind that they only had 24 hours to prepare something. I just wish it hadn't been hyped up as a tribute when in actuality it was only a 3rd of one of her greatest hits.  Besides that, Jennifer did an amazing job and I'm glad they chose her for the job.

Whitney Houston Death Details, Plus My Mini Tribute.. Rest In Love!!

When my sister called me Saturday night to tell me that Whitney Houston was no longer with us, I immediately wanted to believe it was just a rumor.  However, the hurt in my sister's voice let me know it most definitely wasn't.   On February  11th, the world lost the legendary Whitney Houston, she was only 48 years old.

According to TMZ Whitney was found submerged in water in her L.A. hotel room.  Initially, sources were saying that Whitney might have taken prescription drugs, fell asleep in the tub and drowned.  Since those reports, the autopsy has been completed and family members stated that she died prior to going underwater.  According to the autopsy, there was not enough water in her lungs to suggest drowning. Whitney possibly died from a combination of prescription pills and alcohol.

Regardless of how Whitney left, the world is definitely mourning her loss.  While we're hurting, nobody is hurting more than her 18 year old daughter Bobbi Kristina.  Since her mother's death, she's been rushed to the hospital twice. The night of Whitney's death, Bobbi Kristina got into a verbal altercation with police when they would not allow her entry into her mother's room.  Please keep this family, especially Bobbi Kristina in your prayers.  She and her mother were SUPER close, you could see Whitney's love for Bobbi Kristina every time she spoke of her.   The above pic was one of the last photos the two took together.

I have ALWAYS loved me some Whitney Houston. You couldn't tell me I wasn't Whitney back in the day. She was beautiful and her voice always amazed me. Yesterday, an elementary school friend of mine posted a status on Facebook asking if anybody remembered when the twins (my sister and I) used to sing Whitney Houston songs on the playground and everybody used to crowd around. That brought back memories cuz like I said, I LOVED Whitney.  Anytime somebody asked me to sing, I would break out in a Whitney song. Now that I'm older, I know better than to fool around with anything Whitney ever touched LOL.

I just wanted to take a minute and post some of my favorite Whitney songs and performances. Check MORE DISH to hear her angelic voice.

LOVEDDDDDDDDDDDD IT!!! And it was effortless.

When they showed this clip of her live Grammy performance from 1994 last night at the beginning of this years Grammys, I didn't think I would make it through the rest of the show. It broke me all the way down. This woman's voice, was beyond amazing!!  And when she got to bouncing, I knew she would have me rocking. People can say what they want about this woman, but THIS is how I will always remember Ms. Whitney!! Rest In Love, we will ALWAYS LOVE YOU!!

Sherry Shepard "I Had A Lot Of Abortions".. Uhhh, WTH?

Sherry Shepard got emotional on The View when speaking about a new law in Texas requiring abortion providers to show women an ultra sound of the fetus before going through with the procedure. At the beginning of the discussion she just listened, she then chimed in and mentioned that she's had "a LOT of abortions."  Check the video below.

Number one, let me say that I am TOTALLY against this law.  It's basically forcing you to look at a child that you have already decided you don't want, or maybe you do want but aren't in a position to keep.  That's pretty cruel and unfair.  While I am Pro-Choice, I will never understand how a person sits up and has multiple abortions.  And surely not a LOT of them o_0.  I know that accidents happen, but there is no reason for a woman to get pregnant several times with a child that they don't intend to have. Abortion should not be used as a means of birth control...they have all kinds of things to prevent pregnancy these days, USE THEM!!

In Case You Missed It: Love & Hip Hop "Reality Check"

If you watched the second season of Love and Hip Hop, you can probably understand why they decided NOT to have a reunion show this go round. Because several of the ladies didn't want to even be in the same room with one another, producer Mona Scott-Young decided to do a separate sit down with each cast member for a "reality check."  Take a look at the video below.

New Music Video: OMG Girlz "Gucci This"

You might remember the OMG Girlz from Tiny & Toya or even T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle.  Zonnique (Miss Star) is Tiny's daughter and she's been working with the group for a while now.  I"m actually digging the song and video. I like Miss BabyDoll's addition to the group. Somehow, she makes their look really come together. I have to admit that I was a little concerned about them looking "too grown" (with the hair and makeup).  But then I had to think about Destiny's Child during their younger days and realized it's just for entertainment.  These girls don't look "raunchy", so no biggie.

Tiny has really shown these girls how to step their game up!!

Don Cornelius Committed Suicide? May He Rest In Peace

Don Cornelius, the creator of Soul Train was found dead in his home this morning.  And it appears to be a suicide.

We're told cops discovered the body at around 4 AM PT. Law enforcement sources tell us ... Cornelius died from a gunshot wound to the head and officials believe the wound was self-inflicted.

We're told Cornelius was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

This is horrible, Mr. Cornelius was 75 years old.  You never know what a person is dealing with behind closed doors. His family and friends are in my prayers.  May he rest in "Love, Peace and Soul."
