One of my absolute favorite movies growing up was Steel Magnolias with Sallie Fields, Julia Roberts, Dolly Parton and Shirley Maclaine. We watched it so much that my Dad actually hid the VHS tape from us LOL.
Anywho... there's gonna be remake with some of my favorite actresses, Queen Latifah, Phylicia Rashad, and Jill Scott. Phylicia Rashad's daughter Condola Rashad and Adepero Oduye are also starring in the film. Check out the trailer below.
This got me super hype!! I actually almost started crying, SMDH. Usually I'm not for the remakes of my favorite movies, but this clip looks like they did a great job. I can't wait to see this. What about you?

BET Awards 2012 Whitney Houston Tribute
Whitney would be SOOOOOOOOOOO proud of Monica and Brandy. She was super close with both of them and they did her well!! They showed out for Nippy honey, Monica almost had me shouting. Bringing out the cast of Waiting to Exhale was genius, I got chills just looking at them. The strength it took for Cissy Houston to sing for her daughter was unimaginable. THIS was a tribute. I know the Grammy's didn't have much time to prepare, but I still think they could have done more than they did. Good look, BET. More Dish!
New Music Video: Willow Smith "I Am Me"
This is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL song... Although I think Willow can be a bit extra, I love that she seems to really love herself. In this society, it's hard for children (even adults sometimes) to feel like they belong and to really, really love themselves.

Congrats To The Miami Heat... 2012 NBA CHAMPIONS
I hadn't really commented on the NBA finals because with the Grizz and Celtics out, I wasn't REALLY rooting for any particular team. I like some of the players for both OKC and Miami so I wouldn't have been mad at either team winning. HOWEVER, last night I was anxious to see LeBron, one of the most hated men in the NBA get his ring. I was sick of the "no ring" jokes and was thrilled to see him turn into a super excited little boy after winning his first championship :).
Awww, look at him with the family. Y'all know I love me some Savannah! I've dug these two since I saw them on Oprah YEARS ago. Anywho, just wanted to say CONGRATS TO THE HEAT!! They deserved it!!!
