And It's OVER.. Jennifer Hudson & Gloria Govan Are Now Single

It might be "boo season" but it looks like several celebrity couples are calling it quits.  Matt Barnes released a statement through his publicist that he and Gloria Govan are no longer an item:

I’d like to address the rumors surrounding mine and Gloria (Govan’s) relationship. We have reached the difficult decision of ending our relationship and will be going our separate ways at this time. We will work together to raise our sons and wish each other only the best.

It looks like she and her sister Laura take turns with the on-again-off-again engagements.  I'm thinking this one might be a little more permanent since Matt actually released a statement about it. I actually liked the two of them together.  On an episode of Basketball Wives: LA, Gloria stated that if she and Matt didn't make it, she could walk away with no regrets.  I hope that was for real and not just for the cameras.

Okay, I'm sure we all kind of saw this one coming.  According to Star Magazine, Jennifer Hudson has called off her 3 year engagement to wrestler/reality tv star/lawyer fiance David "Punk" Otunga.

After a three-year engagement, Jennifer Hudson has abandoned plans to walk down the aisle.

The American Idol alum, 30, and WWE star David Otunga – who have a 2-year-old son, David jr. – are on the outs, clashing over Jennifer’s career obsession, commitment issues and reluctance to have more children.

“They were going to tie the knot in August in Jennifer’s hometown of Chicago… but it’s not going to happen,” an insider reveals.

Jenny's publicist tells E!News that the couple is still on to be wed stating "I can confirm that the story is not true."  While the story is that Jenny will still walk down the aisle, they still aren't giving a date.

Gloria Govan Denies Being Assaulted

I don't know about y'all but I was waiting on this.  I figured that Gloria would say something to defend Matt and protect this image of "perfection" that she tries so hard to create.  Laura Wright, the couples publicist released this statement from Gloria

"Any accusation of domestic violence are false. My fiance, Matt Barnes, has never physically abused me or my family.”

She can release as many statements as she wants but there was clearly a scuffle cuz Matt's neck was really scratched the hell up.  Unless Matt's little incident was with another chick, Gloria's statement doesn't sound too truthful.  Maybe we'll get to hear more about this during the second season of Basketball Wives.

Sooooo... Matt Barnes And Gloria Govan Aren't So PERFECT After All!! Barnes Arrested For Domestic Violence

This is such a sad and embarrassing situation.  L.A. Lakers player, Matt Barnes was arrested yesterday for domestic violence.  I'm sure you all remember these two from the first season of Shaunie O'Neal's Basketball Wives.  Matt and his fiance, Gloria Govan played the only "happy" couple on the show.  They were engaged to be married earlier this year but when it came close to the wedding date, Matt called a time out.  Although the wedding was on hold, Gloria made sure to let everyone know that they were STILL happy and most importantly STILL together.  While they may have still been together, I'm not sure about the happy part.  Check out what CNN said about the domestic incident that took place at the couples home in Sacramento.

“When deputies arrived, they made contact with 30-year-old Matt Kelly Barnes and the adult female who he lived with and with whom he had a dating relationship,” the sheriff’s department said in a statement. “While both parties had visible injuries, Barnes was determined to be the primary aggressor and taken into custody.”
He was booked on felony charges of domestic violence and maliciously obstructing the use of a telephone line. He posted a $50,000 bond and was released from jail Wednesday evening, the sheriff’s department said.

So, basically dude snatched out the phone lines so she couldn't call for help?  That's mean, LOL! No word on if the woman in the incident was actually Gloria.  During the show, they were living together so I can only guess that it may have been her.  Anywho, I wonder what caused all of this?  If it turns out it's because of another woman (or was another woman) I know PLENTY of folks that will probably get a kick out of that, SMH.  I hope everything works out for the two of them.  Even if they decide not to be together, they have children so they have to be able to communicate on some level (without throwing  bows).

More Basketball Wives Drama.. Suzie Arrested, Gloria's Fiance Matt Goes In On Shaunie

So... the finale of the first seaon of "Basketball Wives" aired Sunday and it slick ticked me off. The show left off with the ladies at a dinner with Shaunie and they were all going in on Glora, AGAIN LOL. Well, the ladies taped the reunion show in L.A. recently and of course some ish popped off.


The producers brought back the groupie chick they all call "plastic surgery", you know the one that Suzie got into it with and threw water on in one of the episodes (that ish was funny). Well, when "Plastic Surgery" came out Suzie supposedly was angry and stormed from the stage. ONLY to return with a BUCKET of water to throw on her this time, LMAO! The chick tried to run off set and slipped on the water, they say the paramedics had to take her from the building. The police were called and Suzie was arrested, all cuz she wanted to throw some water LMAO. Whats with these chicks and the throwing of water/beverages anyway? Okay, that's not it. Although no other reports have surfaced, something MUST have happened with Gloria because her fiance Matt Barnes clicked on Shaunie via Twitter. Check MORE DISH for his tweets.

DAMN.. "B EZ Tricks!!!" Wow, you mad huh (in my Saaphire voice LMAO). Well, I love Shaunie and all but if I were Gloria they would've all had me jacked up trying to gang up on me with that BS. I would've roasted EVERYBODY LOL. Well, I'll most def be tuned in to see the reunion show on June 20th. Cant wait for this tomfoolery LOL.
