Basketball Wives Lost A Few Cast Members

A few days ago Shaunie Oneal spoke to the media about getting rid of three cast members.  At the time, it was thought to be just talk, but now it looks to be official. According to TMZ  Jennifer Williams, Royce Reed and Kesha Nichols are all out for season 5 of the show.

Honestly, the only person that might be missed at all is Jennifer. Kesha and Royce are both a bit of a bore, I figured they wouldn't last long. So, will the change in the cast keep you from watching?

Evelyn Lozada's Letter To Her 7 Year Old Self

While I don't like Evelyn's need to always throw something, I have to admit that I do like the chick.  She is always good for a laugh and she seems to be a really good person and loyal friend.  Check MORE DISH to read the heartfelt letter that she wrote to her 7 year old self.

Dear Mija,


In exactly twenty-nine years you’re going to find yourself at the middle of a mess that you unwillingly helped to create… You’re going to be the topic of a discussion about women on a national level that won’t be one of your proudest moments. And as large as your life may be at that time, the truth is that you’re going to feel painfully small.


You’ll look through the rearview mirror of your life and see a mountain of mistakes. You’ll realize that although it appears that you’re living out a dream, your seven year old self could never picture this near nightmare at thirty-six. You’ll remember the days when you drowned out the fighting and drama in your own house and the negativity of the women you loved who ultimately shape who you will become. You’ll recall the moments when you sat in front of the television each day after school in search of someone positive and found Oprah and wondered if people like her would ever be a part of your life, or if you’d always have the jaded ones you watched on Jerry Springer.

Although I think the ladies of Basketball Wives should have tried changing their ways PRIOR to losing sponsors this season, I do think Evelyn might actually be realizing that acting the fool on national TV ain't the move.  Let's hope that we get to see her more laid back on her spin-off show.

Evelyn Lozada & Chad Can't Seem To Find A Wedding Venue

According to TMZ the made in reality TV couple can't find a venue for their wedding.  The two have a Basketball Wife spin-off show and the finale episode is their much awaiting wedding.  The only problem is that several Miami venues are refusing them because they are afraid of all the drama associated with them. Well, see what you get when you're always acting up and throwing ish, SMH.

I'm ready for this show tho, I'm sure it'll be pretty entertaining.

Tami Roman Wants YOU To Stop Bullying HER...

Ok, it's official... Tami Roman of Basketball Wives is missing a few screws!! Although I liked Tami the first two seasons, I always felt that she was a little bit extra.  I honestly didn't consider her to be MESSY until this season where she has absolutely shown her lipo'd azz. After this week's episode of Basketball Wives I was totally disappointed in her and could not understand HOW she thought it was okay to behave the way she did.  Seeing Tami deliberately taunt Kesha sent a lot of people off and they went in on Tami via Twitter and Facebook.  Check out what Tami had to say to Sister 2 Sister Magazine about how SHE is being bullied by the world.

“Waking up to negativity on Twitter, negativity on Facebook, negativity on blogs, it’s emotionally and mentally draining, and things people say because they think they know you for watching you one hour of the week, it can weigh on your psyche,” 

 “You don’t have to follow me on Twitter. You really don’t. You don’t have to like me on Facebook. You don’t have to do any of that. If you disagree with how I handle something or the way a moment went down, you can say that and you don’t have to call me a b!tc#. You don’t have to call me a lowlife. You don’t have to call me a hood rat. You don’t have to call me out my name to get your point across,”

Tami Roman Suffers Mild Heart Attack

After Monday night's episode of Basketball Wives, Tami Roman was taken to an L.A. hospital and found out that she had suffered a mild heart attack.  She's okay, but I'm sure that was a bit of a scare.  Once she returned home, she tweeted the following.

“Thx 2every1 for the get well wishes. Never thought I’d have a mild heart attack at 41.

God has a way of bringing things into perspective. Finally going home 2my kids-heart meds and all. I’m off twitter 4 awhile, no stress recovery, but I appreciate ALL the positive energy & the negative 1′s-get a life-I sure appreciate mine.”

Well, maybe this will help her to calm down and stop keeping up so much BS!! Glad she was okay and I wish her a speedy recovery.

Chad Ochocinco & Evelyn Lozada Spinoff... They Got Paid WHAT?

Soooooooooooooooooooooooo, Chad and Evelyn have landed themselves a spinoff show from Basketball Wives.  Raise your hand if you didn't see that coming.  Anywho, Vh1 obviously knows that we'll be watching because they reportedly dished out $300,000 each for the couple to share their lives with us.  This was for 2 months of filming!!

I love Basketball Wives, but I'm not really sure that I'll be watching a show just for these two.  Notice I said "not sure", cause most likely they'll pull me into their madness and have me watching LOL.  I know a lot of people dislike the couple, but I happen to think they work well together.  I guess we'll get to see more of them in action pretty soon.  Will you be watching?

But damn, $300,000 EACH?  Wow!!

Jennifer Williams Talks To "The Breakfast Club" About Eric Tossing The Drink

Maybe I'm wrong, but every time I see (or think about) that drink smacking Jenn across the face I start giggling LOL.  Jenn called into Power 105 this morning and spoke with "The Breakfast Club" about the incident.  Check it out below.

True it was wrong of him to throw that drink at her, especially as forcefully as he did. BUT, you have to admit it was comical. She was wrong as well, don't do things expecting people NOT to react.  He threw that drink hard as HELL.  Between those colored contacts and that drink, she could barely see LOL. We all know that reality TV is super edited, which makes me wonder WHAT actually happened for their meeting to go down hill the way it did.  I mean it was all good when he walked in.  He went from "hey my lady" and kissing her on the cheek, to basically "bish I'll drown you" LMAO.  Well anywho, it was a great finale.  I loved the scenes from Jenn's party.  That's how I like to see chicks kick it, having fun and not being catty.  I'm waiting for the reunion.  What are your thoughts on this season?

Meet The Cast Of "Basketball Wives L.A."

Next week is the last episode of Vh1's drama filled show Basketball Wives, and I must admit I want more.  Well, Vh1 is giving us more, but not from the Miami chicks.  On August 29th, the new series Basketball Wives L.A. will air at 8 p.m. ET/PT.  Personally, I can't WAIT to see GloVan (Gloria Govan) back on my t.v.  screen.

GLORIA GOVAN - We all remember Gloria Govan from Seasons 1 and 2 of BBW Miami, she is the fiance' of Lakers player Matt Barnes.  I like Gloria and respect the fact that she didn't throw her sister under the bus just to be in "the circle."  Gloria ALWAYS holds her own and I love that about her.  She is new to the West Coast, she and Matt relocated to L.A., and they just made it through his first season with the Lakers.  Let's see how she gets along with this cast.

LAURA GOVAN - Laurence Laura is Gloria's sister and the ex-fiance' of Gilbert Arenas.  She's a mother and is recently single. You might also remember that Shaunie accused Laura having an affair with Shaq, leading to his and Shaunie's divorce.  According to Vh1, Laura has no trouble speaking her mind or sticking up for family when things get rough.

MALAYSIA PARGO – wife of Chicago’s Jannero Pargo, Malaysia grew up in Compton, California before meeting her husband at 22. On being a basketball wife, she confesses that she always has her guard up and that one has to be a strong individual in order to live this lifestyle because it will “swallow you up and spit you out.”

IMANI SHOWALTER – ex-fiancée to player Stephen Jackson and mother of three, Imani has fought hard against being stigmatized since parting ways with her famous ex and isn’t shy to confess that she hasn’t dated since. A former singer with a New York girl group, Imani says she’s in the process of “rediscovering what makes me happy again… I want to find my passion and that’s where I want to go.”

JACKIE CHRISTIE – wife of retired player Doug Christie, Jackie claims to have the strongest marriage in basketball, and it shows: she and Doug renew their vows every year! Bulldozed in the press for being overbearing and controlling in her relationship, she’s not one to hold her tongue, even with other players’ wives. She loves the spotlight and seems unfazed by her reputation as a polarizing figure in the world of basketball wives.

KIMSHA ARTEST – self-described ‘partner’ of Ron Artest and mother of three, Kimsha is proud of her New York (Jamaica, Queens) roots and not a fan of living in Los Angeles. After seventeen years with Artest, she’s rolled with the punches when it comes to the basketball lifestyle. Kimsha refuses to resign herself to the LA “party” lifestyle, also shying away from the bling.

DRAYA MICHELE – Draya is currently a model and aspiring actress in Los Angeles with several music videos and magazine covers to her credit. A controversial beauty with a history of dating players, the funny and engaging Draya says “I have a million haters. I open the list of haters and it rolls across the floor.” No word yet if any of the new LA wives make that list.

This should be GOOD!! Especially since GloVan has her sister on the show with her now.  I'm sure Shaunie was a smidge upset about that.  Anywho, will you be watching and which of the cast mates do you think you'll like best/least?

Well, if that wasn't some of the messiest BS I've ever seen from a group of grown women I will pay you, SMH.  In my opinion, all of these women (with the exception of Evelyn and Jen) are messy.  First off, let's talk about this lawsuit.  If I were Meeka, I'd probably sue her azz too.  Simply because Tami got in that cheap shot, Meeka wasn't even looking in her direction.  It would have been different if they had just had a run in, but no, earlier Tami was asking Meeka to get in pictures, then this.  Since Tami just FELT like smushing her in the face like that, I don't blame her for just FEELING like suing her azz.  Now, each of these grown women (again, except for Jen and Evelyn, but I'll still talk about them) did some super whack ish in this episode.  Check MORE DISH for that run down.



Let's just start with Tami... number one, she is TOO DAMN GROWN to be fighting like she does. Don't get me wrong, I don't care how old a person is, if they are being attacked, then they have every right to defend themselves. But that has not been the case with any of Tami's altercations. Have y'all realized that she has attacked almost half the cast, LOL. I will be honest and say she is extremely comical and even real (as she loves to point out), but she is MESSY.com!

Meeka... I just wish she would learn to SHUT UP! She runs her mouth too much and is so anxious to be accepted that she is coming off as fake. Just be you and keep your comments to yourself, or hell, tell your REAL friends. Why would she go telling Suzie's raggedy azz ANYTHING?

Suzie... I'm not even sure if I wanna call her messy. I think SLOW would be the best word for her. She too needs to learn how to keep her mouth CLOSED. Why would she go back to Evelyn and Tami telling them what Meeka said? She should have learned her lesson about running off at the mouth last season, SMH.

Shaunie.. whewwww, she is a slick one. She tries to act like she's the peace maker when she's really slick messy as hell too. WHY would she go reading that letter from Meeka to everybody? I could have sworn it said "Dear Shaunie."

Evelyn... folks can say what they want about her, but honestly I think she is the realist cast member on the show. She seems like a really good friend and she's gonna give it to you straight! I like the fact that she went to Jen about the interview and let her know how she felt. I love a friend that will come to me about any issue they might have so we can work it out.

Jen... I felt SO bad for her last night. She was really upset about their argument and I honestly don't think she did it to hurt Evelyn. She made a mistake, we're human and we all make them. She and Evelyn's friendship seems genuine and these two don't give me the "messy" vibe.


For the record, I don't think Tami just whooped Meeka like I've heard/read people say. Tami got the first lick in and that was about it. Meeka got knocked so far back that by the time Tami did try to get to her Meeka had those lil legs locked and all in her stomach. She had Tami's head and was holding on for dear life, LMAO! Okay, that's all I have to say about the show. What do you think about Tami attacking Meeka? How would you have handled it.

But I pride myself in being more than just a basketball wife. I understand that’s something that I am, but that’s not a title that I want to define me. I’d rather be known as a mom, a businesswoman, a producer, an actress, a TV host. I just felt like that didn’t fit who I was and where my career was trying to go.”


On Being Referred To As The First Lady Of New York

“I kind of laugh when people say it. It’s an honor to be called [The First Lady Of New York.] For people to even put us in the same category as Jay-Z and Beyonce — that’s just an honor in itself, but I don’t deal well with titles. To me, actions speak more than anything. It’s about being in New York now and being active, as New Yorker’s get active in the community. And getting out there and showing people what we are about outside of our businesses, with philanthropy and different things like that. That’s how you prove who you really are. You can be given a label and a title but what does that mean when there is nothing behind it? So for us, it’s about really embracing the city of New York. We kind of rushed and got here quickly, but now that we are settling in we’re starting to get out there and do some charity work and let people really see what we’re about as individuals, and as a couple.”

I don't blame her, I wouldn't have gotten involved with that show either.  Don't get me wrong, I love BBW, just don't think that would have been a good move for Lala.

Eric Williams Visits "The Breakfast Club"

I like Eric, one thing about him... he's gone keep it real!! I honestly think that he and Jenn could have worked it out had she NOT been on BBW and had she let go of past issues. Maybe those issues weren't so much in the past and that's why she couldn't let them go.  Plus, he did talk to her kind of funky.  Hell I don't know, maybe it's best that they called it quits.  Oh and I really appreciate the fact that he never speaks badly of Jenn!  I'm sure he could go in if he wanted to.

I'm glad they asked about that lump cuz I've always wondered WTH it was.

Evelyn Lozada Wants $20K Per Episode

We've heard reports that "Basketball Wives" star Evelyn Lozada was threatening to leave the show and now we have another reason why .  Initially, it was because Eve felt that producers leaked information to Tami about sleeping with her ex-husband so that it would cause problems between the two.  Now, Evelyn wants a raise from the reported $7,500 that the cast is currently paid per episode. Eve now wants $20,000 per episode... WTH!! 

I'm not sure if this is true, mainly because I can't believe they're only being paid $7,500 per episode.  If so, I bet Shaunie isn't being paid that.  Oh well, we'll see if Evelyn returns next season or if she's off recording a new show with her "fiance", Chad Ochocinco.  Or maybe she'll join the cast of "Football Wives", LOL.  She most DEF won't be getting $20,000 per episode over there.

I almost felt sorry for Jennifer. Yea she knew what she was dealing with when she got with Eric, but I know it still hurts. Anywho, it looks like Royce was having issues almost the whole time in Spain.  That might be the reason why she supposedly banned all her cast mates from partying with her during All Star weekend.  According to  Mrs. Grapevine, Royce banned everybody from a party she's hosting and any other party she associated with this weekend in L.A. Well damn, these folks are ALWAYS in some ish, SMH.

Whewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww honey!!! These daggone BBW will make you wanna step out of character. I love the show and actually like the ladies but COME ON, some of their actions SCREAM "BITTER." I really can't believe that Shaunie behaved this way. When it comes to relationships, Jennifer needs to stay on MUTE because the way her old rock head husband speaks to her is ridiculous. This looks like it'll be the most childish episode of the show yet.  Even still, I'll be front and center on Sunday morning to watch it LOL.
