Monica's "New Life" Album In Stores TODAY (Album Snippets)

Y'all know I love Mrs. Monica Brown, I've been a fan since I was 14.  I became an even bigger fan when I had the opportunity to meet her last year and she was SUPER nice and approachable.  Anywho, I've been patiently waiting on her new album New Life that dropped today.  I'm only seven songs in thus far and I'm loving it.  I'll let you know what I think about the rest of the album once I finish listening.  For some reason I've had number 7, Without You on repeat for the past few minutes and can't stop LOL. 

I love listening to albums where you can actually hear the growth in the artist.  In one of the songs  she talked about Rocko dealing with relationships that weren't worth dealing with, and in another she talks about finding love.  This album is most def worth picking up.

Monica & Brandy Speak On Whitney's Life & Legacy

I never even laid eyes on Whitney Houston in person, but her death has hit me hard.  Both Monica and Brandy have ALWAYS talked about how much they idolized Whitney, so I know this was tough for them to deal with.  I was just talking to my sister yesterday and mentioned that Monica is the closest thing to a Whitney this generation will get. In my Whitney tribute, I posted the "Shoop" video that they discussed.  In it, Whitney spoke on how great of of a singer Monica was.

Just cause I'm slick nosey, I'm curious about what that letter said. If I were Brandy, I wouldn't share it with the world either.

New Music Video: Monica "Until It's Gone"

I'm digging the second single off of Monica's New Life album set to hit stores December 13th.  I was in LOVE with her Still Standing album, and I'm sure this one won't disappoint.  Check out the video for Until It's Gone below.





Y'all already know this had me crying, OMG!!! This was a beautiful video, it shows how a person can honestly care for you, but still won't do right by you (for whatever reason).  While you're mistreating people, you might not have the opportunity to show them just how much you actually care for them, it can all be over in a split second.  What did you think of the video?

I have to say that I wasn't feeling this song the first time I heard it, but I have definitely grown to love it. Cute video,  Monica is such a pretty chick and she doesn't have to do a whole lot of extra stuff in her videos.  I can't wait for her to drop her upcoming album.

INSIDE Monica & Shannon Brown's Wedding

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww... I love it!! Monica's dress was beautiful!! I really wish she would have rocked her always gorgeous signature short hair, but no biggie. Looks like the wedding was beautiful and I'm glad they got to share it with their family and friends. I like the fact that they had a really private ceremony a few months back and THEN did this one. It's hard for celebrities to have some sort of normality with anything that they do. Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Shannon Brown, as you know, I LOVE THESE TWO TOGETHER!!

Monica Launches Nail Polish Line With Orly

One of my besties loves Orly polish... Since I'm no longer wearing acrylic on my nails, I'm anxious to see what polish actually lasts on natural nails.  Just like I support Monica in her music, I'll be purchasing this polish when it becomes available.  I'll keep you posted!
